Not youir usual biopic. Julian Schnabel takes a much different approach to describe a very complicated personality's life and mindset. You can see Schnabel's sensibility as a painter in this film. Plus his take on Andy Warhol was much more sympathetic and realistic than other directors, Kudos to David Bowie for another brilliant performance. That, unto itself, makes this film worthy. Sorry, no car crashes and gratuitous sex or violence kids. Just a fascinating portrait of a young man as an artist,
