An apology is a formal justification or defense of a position.
Is it a coincidence the best star wars movie (Empire) of the series happened the fucking split second Lucas got out of the director's seat? Even the biggest fanboys can attest that anything good about the directing of the first star wars was completely unintentional, and then he went on to re-release/ruin all of the originals as well as "produce" the Ewok tv movies -- all while sporting a hair helmet that could replace stonehenge as one of the 7 wonders of the world. I thank him wholeheartedly for the fond childhood memories, but let's not kid ourselves -- he's definitely overrated.
