I think Will Ferrell has used all of his comedic capital - and this movie proves it. I'm not saying he's washed up, but a funny idea doesn't always make a funny movie.
I was so surprised at how funny this movie was. It wasn't totally stupid and pointless. It was stupid, but smartly stupid. If you stayed away because it looked too slapstick, I'd say give it a shot.
