Meryl Steep played a role that was deep, which is very unlike what she usually does. And the film actually had some meaningful commentary on the fashion industry. I don't expect to learn anything from a comedy, and I got something out of this film.

Not very enthraling, definitely predictable, but is it wrong of me to say Meryl Steep made it redeemable? Her character had so much depth, and I kind of liked the ironic/not stereotypical ending in regards to her character. It definitely was not incredibly exciting or particularly funny, but paints an interesting picture of the fashion world.
Totally predictable, but at least the movie had cute clothes to look at. The book was just too much of the same thing....
In the words of my diary in 5th grade...Boooooring.
It was a good movie I guess but it's not like everyone was making a big deal about it when it came out. Everything was about right.
A great movie. I actually liked the movie ending better than the book, which is rare for me.
How the hell did the boss win best actress at the globes?

A lot of people seem to think this movie is somehow lacking - in what, I'm not sure. But I love it - it's an interesting look at the high fashion world, and just kind of fun. Plus, how much do you love Andy's new clothes?!
