One dimensional ... like you drank too much cafeine, cool for a while, but you can't wait to come down ... very little depth in the writing.
I have to admit these guys are my guilty emo pleasure. Their lyrics are pretty well written compared to a lot of what mobs the radio. What I like most about them though, is their ability to change and progress and have a different sound for every album. Overplayed? Definitely. But overrated? Not the same thing. These guys are talented, but they get brushed over because they've been marketed to twelve-year-olds and Clear Channel.
They're just stupid. I hate how they write their song names so long.
