George Harrison is cleary underrated and underappreciated in both his Beatles career and his solo career. While the aknowledged highlights of his beatles contributions are "something", "Here comes the Sun" and "While my Guitar Gently Weeps" he had many more great songs that are overlooked such as "I want to tell you", "For you Blue", "Savoy Truffle" and "Only a Northern Song". He also developed some great guitar playing by the end of the Beatles. For the Beatles solo careers' it is widely regarded that that Lennon had the best lyrics and McCartney had the most pop appeal (although i think he is also underrated). What people don't aknowledge is that Harrison had the best instrumentation. Check out the albums "All things must Pass" and "Brainwashed". (How could All things must pass be rated 429 on RS top 500 albums, clearly it should be top 100) Also check out his guitar credits on the imagine album, also very impressive.
