Love 'em or hate 'em Metallica's name and music will live on even after the Beatles have been forgotten. Metallica, like the Beatles went through phases...not every Metallica fan likes EVERY SONG. I must admit that there are songs on every album that I think are below them. But this is the nature of recording artists and humans in general...nothing is perfect. But the good and awesome songs outweigh the the ones that I think suck. Some songs will never/rarely be played live and for good reason. But overall, Metallica is probably the greatest Heavy Metal/Thrash Metal band of all-time. Nobody kicks your teeth in harder than Metallica live...except maybe Slayer and Megadeth. But what makes Metallica awesome is that they have a variety of songs, they're not one-dimensional at all.
    Total one-trick ponies. Definitely overrated.
one of my favorite bands but not the best, definitely overrated, but not as much as the Beatles.
Metallica is a kick ass band. They have amazing guitar drums and bass. It made metal more mainstream and introduced many listeners to Iron Maiden and Judas Priest and other 80s metal bands. They R&R Hall of fame inductees and man do they deserve it. They are very talented song writers.
Well, they started off with 4 amazing Thrash Metal albums, practically inventing the genre. Then they went mainstream with the black albym selling 15 million copies becoming probably the biggest metal ever. They they shit themselves. Many metal fans would never have listened to thrash metal if it if it wasn't for Metallica's black album.
I agree with chunkyshoes. Metallicas first four albulms were great, but after that they just didi it for the money. They need to change there name to Ica, because theres no Metall in it(terrible joke but true:( )
The music was cool in the early years. But they get way too much airplay. The stuff they play now is lame. St. Anger? What the hell was that supposed to be? AND they cut their hair. The name Metallica now is used as a symbol of being tough. I know people who say they listen to Metallica not because they like it but because they think that it is just cool to say that they listen to it. Everybody always gets on a bandwagon. Well I'm on the Megadeth bandwagon. Who is with me?

Jason Mraz - His songs are unoriginal

Eric Clapton - Page does circles around Clapton...creatively, stylistically, and even on the fundamental blues level. Listen to "Since I've Been Lovin' You"…

    The Doors - Highly overrated

Hall & Oates - Look past the glam. Their music is a lot deeper than many people think, especially the album cuts. Well, Daryl…

The Doors - Very original band, with the baritone voice, amazing music. RIGHT NOW they are very underrated.
