Nine Inch Nails, or Trent Reznor, is by far one of the greatest musicians of our time. He not only has a god-like aptitude for composing music, but his outlooks regarding the music industry and the overall status of society are dead accurate. The one unfortunate thing about NIN is Trent's unloyal fan base. Majority of Reznor's so called fans only appreciate his work on "Pretty Hate Machine" and "The Downward Spiral". And if that weren't enough, it's unfortunate that his album 'The Fragile" only glorified a few songs, when clearly the album was meant to be experienced as a whole. If you can't appreciate Reznor for his music, at least be willing to acknowledge his influence on the standard set for "Quality Music"
A nin live experience is the best show in the world .. I have seen a ton of bands and nobody has topped nails .. If you judge NIN just from the singles released .. Your missing out on great music .. NIN has much more meaning the most people know .. Just cuz NIN doesnt show off durring each song with thrashing rhythms and solos . They have been underrated . Most metal and rock guys now n days treat music like a sport and not a art form . Trent Reznor is a pure artist . As NIN has aged it has also matured alot .. Trent is Not the best singer .. but still better then most of the shit singers on the radio . And way more imaginative . The guy below me prolly is a metallica fan and prolly will testify there the greatest band of all time ( blah blah ) " coughs " bullshit .. LArs sucks . Talk about over-rated .
I guess if you're 12 and pissed at your parents for not letting you go to the stabby-rip-stab stab gig then yeah, I guess nine inch nails might seem relevant and deep. I'm not 12 however, so i think nine inch nails are infantile crap.
