Regina Spektor is a redhead who plays piano, so many, criminally, compare her to Tori Amos. While her piano playing is at least equal to Amos, her style is incomparable. She is lyrical acrobat who takes what would normally be a well written pop hit, and adds wrinkles and flavors to it of which most artists would never dream. When you add to that the devilsh and charming whimsy with which she carries herself, and her POWERFUL, emotive, and almost acrobatic lyrical prowess, you have an artist for the ages.
