Waited many seasons before even giving it a try, sitcoms and hospital shows are both so tired. Then it sucked me in. Thank God for syndication.

I used to love Scrubs... in the first season. The first couple episodes are great- a young intern who feels in over his head and lost in the vastness of the hospital. By the second season, it's almost as if the three main characters ARE the hospital. The show has completely changed from everything I loved about the beginning. People's minor quirks have come to overtake the entire personality of the character, making them absurdly needy, angry, controlling, etc. While the dramatic reflections of the central character, JD, were moving in the beginning, they got old quickly. It is almost laughable the way they randomly add overly dramatic and sad moments (with super-sad background music of course) for the explicit purpose of making the viewers sad, at the end of almost every episode. I guess the viewers are supposed to feel more connected to a comedy that can make the cry as well as laugh. By now, the show is more annoying than funny to me.
